FTC team 23574
We are a community-based FIRST Tech Challenge team based in AvL Technologies in Woodfin, NC made up of 8 passionate middle and high school students. We were established in 2023, and each year our team designs, builds, and programs a fully functional robot to complete certain tasks, and compete against other robots across the state.
What is the FIRST Tech Challenge?
FIRST ® Tech Challenge students work together with their mentors to design and build robots to compete in a dynamic and exciting challenge released every September.
Teams program classroom-scale robots to follow autonomous commands before student drivers take control in two-on-two matches.
On and off the field, students develop STEM skills, engage in community outreach, practice engineering innovation, and build confidence to help them succeed.

We are currently getting ready for 2026-2027 build and competition season! We’re so excited to begin working on our robot for the year. Stay tuned for updates so you can continue to support us as a community!

Our applications are closed for this year, but if you are a 7-12th grader interested in STEAM, coding, mechanics, electrical components, design, business, outreach, finance, or marketing, then consider applying next year (2027-2028) to be on our team.
